NOTD: Revlon White & 2True Glitter

(WHITE ON WHITE 050- REVLON & 2TRUE GLITTERATI NAIL POLISH, SHADE 4)

I had originally planned to paint my nails white and leave it as that, until I remembered that I had recently purchased a pink & purple glitter polish. I admit it doesn't look very neatly done on the pictures but in person the slight mistakes are hardly noticeable.
I absolutely LOVE this combination that I've painted together and I think the pink and purple glitter works really well with the white. I can't wait to try the glitter on top of other colours such as black.

The Revlon nail varnish was around the £5-£6 mark & the glitter one was no more than £3.

What do you all think of this nail varnish combination?

TOPSHOP WANTS

Damn the 'New Arrivals' page on the Topshop website. I feel like I want the majority of things on there! Considering it's payday for me and probably the rest of the country this Friday, I always have the urge to log  onto every clothing website and "browse" for things I want. However, it never ends up being just "browsing" it always ends up in purchasing things that I probably don't need.

'Ribbon Twist Collar' Necklace £18.50:  Statement necklaces are EVERYWHERE at the moment. They change a simple plain t-shirt/outfit into something completely different. Just the adding of a necklace is surprising just how much it changes the entire outfit. Even though this necklace is slightly pricey, I say this just because I've emptied out Primark's stock of statement necklaces which are only £4 each! I love the pale pink and grey effect on this necklace and the diamond effect completes the look. I am EXTREMELY tempted to go and see this in the store to see if it looks as nice. There's been a lot of times where items look much better online so I hope this necklace doesn't..if it looks as it does on the website, I can happily say it will be added to my collection of statement necklaces.

Nail Varnish 'Gel Effect Top Coat' £5.00: I've bought nearly every single nail varnish from the Barry M Gelly Collection and I am impressed with those. The only thing that is disappointing is the colour range. They are obviously gradually going to bring out newer colours but I feel like I would like my 100+ nail varnishes that I've already got (I know, ridiculous right?!) to have the gel effect. When I saw this on the Topshop website I knew I would have to try it out, I hope it doesn't disappoint and isn't just a 'clear top coat' that makes absolutely no difference. If anyone has tried this, please let me know what you think!

'Lip Butter in There She Goes' £8.00: Topshop lipsticks are very very good. I own around 3-4 and even though that's not that many, I love the moisturising feel on my lips when it has been applied. I hope that these lip butters have the same effect as I adore the colour of this one! Have anyone of you tried the lip butters?

'Wanda Leather Strip Wedges' £75.00:  These wedges were the first thing I saw and loved on the 'new arrivals' page. I understand that they probably won't be everyone's cup of tea but personally I absolutely love them. Because I'm 5 foot 10/11 I wouldn't purchase them but I think they are PERFECT for the upcoming summer months. I'm undecided which colour I prefer the best,  I'm thinking the tan pair are more summer colours than the grey ones.

'Zig Zag Aztec Tunic' £26.00: Again, this is another item which won't be liked by everyone. I thought it would look nice with a bright coloured bag and accessories. It reminded me of the tops that are currently out with all the comic book look. Maybe that's just me that thinks that? Most probably.

What do you all think of these items? Would you purchase any of them?

REVIEW: Rimmel London - Professional Finish #312 ULTRA VIOLET

Yet, another nail varnish review. I seem to have have an obsession with buying new nail varnish colours, I go into Superdrug or Boots and immediately think I need to buy a new shade. I will have to keep telling myself that I already have 100+ in possibly every shade imaginable, but of course I don't see it this way at all.

I've had this shade for a while but it's one that I haven't worn for absolutely ages! I completely forgot just how much I love the shade and I think it's perfect for the upcoming Spring/Summer months. I worn this colour when I went on holiday and I had a tan and I must say I loved it. The 'maxi' brush is perfect for an excellent application and I wish more brands would start releasing nail varnishes with the larger brush as I find it so much easier to apply and I make less mistakes around my finger, normally I have to get a cotton bud on each finger to remove the excess from around the nail.

I actually think that Rimmel have re-named this shade as the new 'Salon Pro' collection has the exact match to this colour and is actually been called 'Ultra Violet'. I'm sure they've called this shade something with 'boys' in the name - I could be completely wrong so don't hold me to that.

You will definitely not be disappointed if you decide to purchase this nail varnish, I promise!
Have any of you tried the maxi brush on any of the other shades? Do you like this colour?

DUPE #1: MAC Pretty Please vs Revlon Sky Line Pink

I'm always on the look out for cheaper alternatives of any make-up brand that charges slightly higher prices than the rest, for example MAC.
I originally got the Revlon lipstick first as I'm really into the nude/pink colours. It wasn't until my mum bought me the MAC lipstick for my birthday that I realised just how similar these two shades were. Don't get me wrong they aren't an EXACT match but I think they are pretty close! The Revlon one does come out slightly darker than MAC as you can see by the swatches on my hand, however, when applied on the lips they do look extremely similar. I do understand that the picture of the swatches isn't the best but because they are really nude lipsticks it was hard to photograph - hopefully you can see it okay.

The top colour is the MAC lipstick & the bottom one is Revlon. They do appear to be completely different colours on my hand but I promise you they aren't as different as they appear in the picture! I have to say I'm not a huge fan of Revlon lipsticks as I don't think they are as moisturising to the lips as the MAC ones. Saying that, the Revlon lipsticks are around half the price of the MAC ones at around the £7 mark. Also, the MAC lipsticks have the most gorgeous smell to them (please don't tell me I'm weird & I'm the only one who's noticed this, PLEASE!?). I would recommend that if you're looking for a cheaper alternative for the Pretty Please lipstick by MAC, the Revlon one is definitely one to try out.

I hope this helped whoever is reading this!
Do you have any cheaper lipsticks that are dupes for MAC ones?

Eyeshadow Palette

SUN IN LONDON YESTERDAY! YES SUN!
I believe that sun puts everyone in such a good mood, well it makes me in a better mood that's for sure. The weather yesterday where I live was SUNNY and I literally cannot believe I'm writing that as a few days ago I was absolutely freezing with about 3 layers of clothes on - including fluffy socks the lot! It seemed the complete opposite yesterday and I'm so happy that the warm(ish) weather has finally arrived, hopefully for the long term too.

I took full advantage of the bright, sunny weather as I took a few photos of a new eyeshadow palette from Crown Brush UK. It has some gorgeous colours that I can experiment with and I hope the pictures I took really show the true colours! I personally like to stick to having a neutral eye and nothing to dramatic, maybe the odd bit of eyeliner but never a full dramatic cat eye look or anything like that. I do really want to try something different and with the diverse amount of colours in this palette I believe I can do that.

This palette is called 'Smoke it Out' and is available on their website.

What do you all think of the eyeshadow colours? Would you use any of them?

HAUL: Vero Moda

This is a shop that not very many people have heard of, but I absolutely love this shop. I always find such amazing pieces in there that I know I'll wear all the time. The prices aren't overpriced that much, the prices are around Topshop/New Look prices. I don't mind paying that little bit extra for something I know I will get the wear out of.
The scarf has the most beautiful pastel colours on it & it just adds that extra little bit of colour to a plain outfit. I'm usually wearing a lot of black so this is perfect to brighten it up. I haven't seen any scarfs with this kind of design on them - it reminds me of the marble effect - the effects you used to do when you were in primary school! (please say I'm not the only one who remembers or done this?!)
The top was also available to buy in white but as I've said previously in this post I like wearing black! I loved the cut out design on the top and I must say it looks really nice on too.

I'm extremely happy with both of my purchases from there (as always!) & as an added bonus I get 10% off for being a student YEAHHHH!

SCARF: £16.00
TOP: £18.00

What do you all think of what I bought? Do you ever purchase things in Vero Moda?
