1. What do you order at Starbucks?
I don't go Starbucks at all, I go to Costa more as its the closest to my Uni. No matter what one I go to though I always order a hot chocolate, normally with whipped cream, yum! I hate tea & coffee.

2. What's one thing in your closet that you cannot live without?
Leggings, I literally LIVE in them. I hardly ever wear jeans, I prefer the comfort of leggings.

3. What's one thing that most people probably wouldn't know about you?
I don't drink fizzy drinks.

4. Name one thing that you want to do before you die
I'd love to do so many things before I die, but one of the main things would be to visit LA, Miami & New York. I absolutely love America, it's my favourite place in the world.

5. What's one food that you cannot live without?
Chinese food. It's a weekly occurrence when purchasing a takeaway.

6. What quote/phrase do you live your life by?
I wouldn't say I live by a quote/phrase but I do think live every day to the fullest & also this quote is always relatable 'Never regret anything because at one time it was exactly what you wanted.'

7. What do you like and dislike about the YT community?
I don't do YouTube videos myself, but I do love watching them. I love watching make-up tutorials, hauls, etc it always gives me good ideas. The amount of horrible comments you see on videos of people that are trying to HELP is unbelievable, some people are really cruel with what they say. I think they forget that these people have FEELINGS.

8. What's your number one most listened to song on iTunes?
I have a playlist that has all the songs I'm liking at the moment on there so I can play them on repeat. At the moment I'm loving Justin Timberlake's songs.

Blogging & shopping (yay!)

12. Two pet peeves
Oh my god, when people crunch food loud e.g crisps, it is literally a moment where I want to walk out of a room! Also, I hate it when people show off and think they are better than everyone else.

13. Guilty Pleasure
Reality TV - KUWTK, TOWIE, Geordie Shore. You name it, I most probably watch it.

I tag EVERYONE who reads this to do this tag, would be interesting to read some of your responses.

REVIEW: Bioré Strips

'DEEP CLEANSING PORE STRIPS - with invigorating tea tree oil and witch hazel. Unclogs & Invigorates. Pulls out even more dirt and oil for the deepest clean'

These pore strips were fine to start off with and then I used them for around the second or third time and my nose went BRIGHT RED afterwards and stayed that way for about 2 days due to me using this product. It looked like I had a massive spot on the end of my nose, I can tell you now it wasn't the most attractive look.
I didn't notice a huge difference when I first used them anyway so I'm not happy with this product at all. I personally wouldn't recommend these because of the experience I endured with them but also just because I didn't notice any noticeable difference. I know a lot of people like this product but these are a massive no no for me and I won't be re-purchasing these. I did buy them when they were on offer but they were still around the £5 mark.

You can purchase them here for £7.99: http://www.boots.com/en/Biore-Ultra-Deep-Cleansing-Pore-Strips-6-Nose-Strips_1250117/

Have any of you tried this product? Any alternative products you use?

Wishlist Wednesday #3

It's that time of the week again, another Wishlist Wednesday post. That's 3 in a row now *pats myself on the back*. It's quite depressing when you think about it as it shows how many products & items I want but can't actually get, sad times for me.
I only had a few items this week as I've only just recently discovered 2 of the products mentioned.

Products on this week's 'Wishlist Wednesday':
  • Zara Office City Bag £49.99 - http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-neu-S2013/358019/1098567/OFFICE%2BCITY%2BBAG
This is one of the items that I have only known about for the past week, which may come as a surprise to the many of you as I know how much this bag has been spoken about and how much people love it. I have only started reading reviews about this over the last couple of days and I have to say it seems like a bag I would love. The numerous amount of compartments is extremely appealing to me as I have the bucket bag from Zara and I don't think it's organised enough as it seems as a huge mess in my bag when I put all my items in there. I am extremely tempted to spend my last £50 of Christmas money on this beauty - I know what you're all thinking 'she still has Christmas money!' I can't believe it either if I'm being honest. I'm still not 100% sure whether I'm going to purchase it, mainly because of the price but people have said that it is worth the money so it is tempting for me to buy it.

  • LUSH 'The Immaculate Eggception' - £6.95 each - https://www.lush.co.uk/product/5837/The-Immaculate-Eggception---Pink
Another recent discovery and when I saw these I thought 'wow they look amazing!'. I've been a fan of LUSH products for a while now and I love the smell of most of their products. I haven't actually seen these new Easter designed products in store so I'll definitely be looking out for them. Have any of you seen them?

  • MUJI Acrylic boxes - wide: £10.95 http://www.muji.eu/pages/online.asp?Sec=9&Sub=39&PID=2424
Loads of people I watch on YouTube & read their blogs have used these boxes to store their make up and I always think they look so organised and nice. I actually think I will be purchasing these later today because my make up is poorly organised and I can never find the stuff that I need so these will be a god send!

What's on your 'Wishlist Wednesday'? Do you own any of the items that I've mentioned?

'What's in your pocket?' Blogger Challenge

I was recently contacted by 'Money Supermarket' to take part in their latest Blogger challenge. It is all about life's 'little wins' and how finding that extra bit of cash can make a difference. From my own personal experience I know how good that feeling is when you find money that you didn't know was there or that you had. It definitely puts you in a much better mood for the rest of the day that's for sure!

Take a look at how Money Supermarket tried out this theory:
http://www.moneysupermarket.com/epic/pocket-some-extra-cash/

Money Supermarket gave me £20 to spend how I wanted. With a spare £20 to spend I did think about it carefully before I spent the money as I wanted it to be spent on something I would use and feel good about too. The amount of times I forget things is actually unbelievable, so I thought what a better item to purchase than a Filofax that I can keep all my Uni deadlines, lectures, and other important information written down so I don't forget them.

The Pink Filofax that I purchased cost £16 and for every Filofax sold, £2.20 is donated to the Breast Cancer Campaign. This was a huge plus for me as I love the thought of being able to help someone else by giving money to charity, especially 'Cancer' charities as I've had close family friends that I have seen battling this terrible illness and some have even lost their battle.
Of course, I had £4 left to spend so with this I'm going to spend it on lottery tickets hoping that at least 1 of them will allow me to be a winner. Then I'll be able to have my dream house with a swimming pool and everything, a girl can dream...

Nail Varnish TAG

credit to 'we heart it' for the picture.

I've seen this TAG floating about on many different blogs and I think this is a perfect TAG for me to do as I have a large collection of different nail varnishes. I've merged some of the questions together from 2 separate tags that I found so there will be more questions in this.

Questions
1. How many nail polishes do you have?
Well I'm always being told every time I go to buy a new nail varnish that I don't need any more - this isn't only from my family members but also my friends! I did sit this afternoon and count how many I have and the grand total is roughly..128, eeekkkk & there is probably more hiding away somewhere, it's not good. Now you may all be able to understand why people tell me that I do NOT need any more.

2. What is your favourite brand of nail polish?
I have many favourites when it comes to nail varnish but at the same time I'm not really fussy. I will easily pick up a 'Miss Sporty' nail varnish and give it a try to see if I can find some cheaper alternatives. If I had to choose a brand I do love the Revlon colours and how they stay on my nails & also I'm a HUGE fan of Models Own & Barry M.

3. Do you like or hate crackle polish?
I would have to say I'm in between when it comes to the crackled effect, I've tried it a couple of times and it's looked okay. I'd probably be swaying more to the hate side as I don't use it very often, you would be lucky to find me wearing it twice a year BUT I do like the effect it creates and it looks really nice on some people.

4. What was the brand of your very first nail polish?
Wow, this is a question that really made me think...I honestly don't have any idea and I don't actually remember the first time I bought my first ever nail polish. It possibly could have been one of the cheaper brands or MAYBE a Rimmel one. I'm really not sure.

5. If you had a nail polish line, what would it be called?
This is a tricky question, I'm not really good when it comes to thinking up names of things but I'd probably call it something really girly like 'Sparkle' or 'Diamond' - terrible I know.

6. What nail polish colour do not look good on you?
I'm not a fan of the blue colours on my nails, especially the dark blues. I have yet to experiment more on different shades of blue but at this moment in time blue is definitely a colour I avoid when doing my nails.

7. What nail polish shades do look good on you?
I like some pastel colours on my nails or black. I think those are the colours that work for me the most.

8. Name 2 of your nail art best friends.
I don't really use much regarding nail art the most I do is use a clip to put dots on my nails (that's if I can be bothered to spend around 20 minutes doing it!)

9. What is the best nail polish gift you have ever received?
This is really weird as I don't think I've received many nail varnishes as a gift. I normally buy the brands and colours that I want.

10. Glitter or no glitter?
Lately, I've been in to painting my ring finger with glitter. I went through a stage of this last year and then stopped for a few months but it looks like I'm back doing it again! I do like adding glitter as I think it makes your nails stand out and look that extra little bit different.

11. OPI, China Glaze or Essie?
This will be surprising but I've never tried any of these brands, I think they are slightly on the expensive side for me especially as I buy so many! I have been wanting to try Essie for a long time though as some of the colours they have are absolutely gorgeous!

12. When do you change your nail polish?
ALL THE TIME.  I must change my nail colour at least 3 times a week, it's like a weird obsession that I have. I get bored of colours so easily and I do actually enjoying painting my nails, it's the drying process that annoys me.

13.  What are you wearing on your nails this very moment?
Rimmel's 'Black Cab' and then I've added Models Own 'Juicy Jules' to my ring finger on top of the black colour, I'm liking it so far.

14. French manicure?
I only ever get this design when I have acrylic nails done as I don't really like the design on my actual nails.

15. Favourite colour for upcoming season?
I'm loving all the pastel colours, especially the mint greens.

I tag EVERYONE to do this - I actually quite enjoyed writing this one. What's all of your favourite nail varnish brand & colours?

Small Haul: Boots

I think it's safe to say I've been addicted to the 'Kate Moss' lipstick collection recently, I just can't stop myself from buying more shades as I love them too much!
Rimmel still had the 3 for 2 offer which I took full advantage of and purchased 2 of the 'Kate Moss' lipsticks and a 'Vinyl Gloss'.

Order of products in the picture:
  • Kate Moss lipstick - shade 101
  • Kate Moss lipstick - shade 107
  • Vinyl Gloss - shade 'Pin Up'
I absolutely love the smell of the lipsticks aswell, is that weird?! They smell just like watermelons, yum! I saw the shade 107 lipstick on this blog: http://birdle.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/kate-moss-infamous-107-lipstick.html & I thought Beth's make up looked amazing with it which made me want to purchase the shade even more. The 101 shade has been raved about for some time now and I did only purchase it to see what all the fuss was about and to be honest I'm glad I did.

Have any of you tried these shades?

Wishlist Wednesday #2

ITEMS:
Ted Baker IPad Mini case - £35
 Pandora Charm - £20
 Mulberry Purse -£225 (ouch!)
♥ Pandora Leather Bracelet - £50

Ted Baker IPad Mini case:
I've been wanting Ted Baker to do IPad Mini cases since I received mine for Christmas in December. I noticed that they do a really cute one in a baby pink or black colour, which I'm still undecided on what one to get. I do get 15% student discount in there which will take it under £30, it's expensive for a case but I think this would be an item which I would use constantly.
http://www.tedbaker.com/women's/women's_accessories/iphone_+_ipad_cases/list.aspx#-&styCode=105860&colRef=59-PALE%20PINK&path=/women's/women's accessories/iphone +-+ ipad cases/

Pandora Charm & Leather Bracelet:
This Pandora bracelet is something I look at every single time I go shopping. For some reason, I never got round to purchasing it, however, I do believe my next pay cheque will be paying for this bracelet for sure and possibly even the beautiful heart charm that I've also spotted! Once again my pay cheque will be mostly rinsed in a couple of days, uh-oh!

Charm: http://estore.pandora.net/Openwork-Heart-Charm/790964,default,pd.html?navid=search&start=1&q=790964

Bracelet: http://estore.pandora.net/Triple-Leather-Bracelet---Black/590705CBK-T,default,pd.html?navid=search&start=1&q=590705CBK-T

Mulberry Purse:
I think this will FOREVER be on my wishlist and never become a reality. Even though the purses are lovely I don't think I'd be able to hand over £225 for a purse..

What's on all your wishlists this week? Do you own any of the items on my wishlist?

Models Own: NEW Neon Collection

I saw on Twitter that Models Own are bringing out a new collection VERY soon - the neon collection. I've been a fan of Models Own for a long time now and my nail varnish collection has gradually increased over the last few months.
I'm never too sure about bright and overpowering colours on my nails but no doubt I will have to try these out. I've seen some swatches of the colours & I must say I am quite impressed. They remind me of the colours you seen in glow sticks, it would be an added bonus if they did glow in the dark (can you imagine?!).

Will you be purchasing any of these new colours from Models Own?

Topshop LA top

I must admit I am NOT A FAN of all the tops saying the words 'GEEK' 'DORK' etc on them, BUT...

This top is UH-MAZ-ING. I saw this top in Topshop earlier this week and was debating with myself whether to buy it or not. It cost £18 and I also received the 10% student discount.
I don't know whether its meant to mean 'LA
I'm not sure whether its meant to mean 'LA' is in Los Angeles or 'LA' is in lalalala?!
Anyway, because Los Angeles is somewhere I've always wanted to visit I've decided it means that.

What do you all think of the top?

Topshop Nail Varnish

I was pleasantly surprised by this nail varnish. I have a serious addiction of buying way too many nail varnishes as you may realise in the future. I picked this one up in Topshop for £5.00 (I got 10% Student Discount aswell, making it £4.50). I wasn't expecting them to be amazing but I must admit this is one of the better nail varnishes I've tried! It hasn't chipped once after having it on for 3 days and only needed 2 coats to get the true colour - love love love. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and it may be my new favourite place to buy nail varnishes.

What do you all think of the colour? Do you have any Topshop nail varnishes?

Bright Coloured Blazers

I bought these blazers a while ago but I still think you can purchase them in store. I have been loving H&M at the moment and especially for their bright coloured blazers. I've wanted a bright pink blazer for absolutely AGES and I finally found one. As soon as I saw it, I literally ran into the shop! I personally LOVE wearing blazers and these bright coloured ones are just an added bonus to my wardrobe.

What do you all think of them? Do you own any bright coloured blazers?
BLUE BLAZER: £29.99 PINK BLAZER: £24.99

Christmas 2012 - What I Received.

I know it's mid February but I thought I'd still blog about what I received for Christmas. I think that is everything that I received for Christmas 2012. As I've said above I'm extremely grateful for everything I received.

What did you all get for Christmas 2012?

Topshop Lipsticks

You can never have too many lipsticks that are near the same colour, well this is what I tell myself every time I buy another nude lipstick.
I must admit I don't have LOADS of lipsticks but the lipsticks that I do have are mostly nude colours with the occasional red or dark colour making an appearance every now and then.
I've never tried the Topshop lipsticks so decided when I went into Topshop the other day that I would 'browse' the colour selection that they had. I started putting a few colours on the top of my hand and gradually started getting a bit carried away so it ended looking like I had a colour chart on my hand (not a good look to go into work with). I must say I am extremely surprised as the 2 lipsticks I purchased have a really nice shine to them and they look like they will stay on the lips for some time. I may be tempted to buy a few more the next time I'm in Topshop, but one thing is for sure, I'll be looking at the new colours they bring out.

TOPSHOP LIPSTICKS - £8
Student Discount gives you 10% off.

What do you all think of the Topshop lipsticks? Have you tried them?

Topshop '1/2 sleeve' Jumper - £18
I was browsing the 'new in' section on the Topshop website & found this jumper. I love jumpers that are perfect for a lazy day indoors, comfort all the way. When I went to check the sizes in stock it showed that it was unavailable in every size *sad face*, I will just have to keep an eye out for this in the shops and even check online every couple of days.
http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=9152993&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=277012&parent_categoryId=208491&pageSize=20

Black Studded Bag - H&M - £29.99
I first saw this bag in store and wasn't 100% sure on it BUT after seeing it with an outfit on a blog I wanted it. I went into one of my local stores and then was torn between the 2 colours as they have this available in a cream/white and the black. Then I wasn't sure about the price because the bag isn't overly big and I left it which I was I hadn't done as I've come home and decided I wanted it but I can't find it anywhere online!! I will have to hope it's still in my local store as I have to have it.

FAST Shampoo & Conditioner
These have only been released in Boots  a couple of days now but I'd read a few articles online before and they've had a lot of hype behind them. I am always looking for products to make my hair grow fast, I'm currently using the Lee Stafford product for hair that doesn't grow past a certain length and I have noticed some minor differences. I'm quite impatient so this shampoo and conditioner is VERY appealing to me. The products seem extremely pricey but all the reviews I've read have been positive. I'm a bit torn as I don't know whether to splash the cash on this product but if it worked I would be over the moon (obviously). I might wait to see more reviews before finally making my decision.

Urban Decay Naked Basics
Unlike the majority of the population I don't actually own a Urban Decay Naked palette and I do actually feel like I'm missing out. Every one loves this product but I think if I was to purchase one I would go for the new-ish one that has the 'basic' colours in it.

What is on your wishlist this week?

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

In my opinion, these products are one of the most hyped lip products at the moment. Whenever there's a hype around a product I ALWAYS read reviews about it to see what the overall view/opinion is. Every review I've read about these were positive and I knew I had to own at least 1 of them. I'd read that Rimmel had a 3 for 2 offer going on at the moment so felt that it would be rude not to go and buy some.
I originally wanted the shade 'Celestial' but it was out of stock, so I had to find another shade that I liked.

Shades I Purchased:
  • NUDE ECLIPSE
  • BIG BANG
  • NOVA
(Top to bottom: Nova, Big Bang, Nude Eclipse)

I must say I really really really love these lip products, I'm tempted to go buy the rest! (my bank balance is hating me right now, must stop shopping). I'm still a bit undecided whether the nude makes me look like I'm dead, especially in the picture. It is slightly darker in real life but I still think I'd wear it. These retail at £5.99 each and I'd say they are worth every single penny, thumbs up to Rimmel for these new products for sure!

What do you all think of these products? Have you tried them?

HAUL: Primark & H&M

WHAT I BOUGHT:

  • Beige coat/mac with leather sleeves - £25
  • Black leggings (I think they're called rider pants style?) - £6
  • Speckled navy jumper - £10
  • Black & White blouse/top - £12.99

Yes, I'm one of these people that have noticed Primark's pricing slowly increasing and some items are getting ridiculously expensive for what they are and the quality. I did find a few things when I went in there but have to admit I did actually put items down after looking at the price - I picked up a jumper which was nothing special but I thought it would be okay for a lazy day and then I saw the price tag of £16 and couldn't believe it. That was put straight back down, no wonder they had a lot of them left!

I've been on a mission to find a beige coloured mac/coat and I did find one in H&M but it didn't look right on me. From reading my favourite magazine LOOK's tweets I saw that Primark were bringing them in stock but they had leather sleeves. I immediately loved it from the picture but I don't always get my hopes up as a lot of the time products/clothing don't look as good in real life, which is always annoying. But, this coat definitely did look as good if not better. It's just what I've been looking for and fits me nicely too. I didn't mind paying the price of £25 as i know I'll constantly be wearing it on a daily basis, I was just so happy I'd finally found me that I liked. These coats do seem to be popular though as they only had a few left in one of my local stores which is actually a bigger Primark. I would advise if you do want one to not leave it and to go out and purchase it ASAP.

The speckled jumper that I found also came in a few other colours such as black and a cream version. The cream one reminded me of a similar jumper in H&M that has colourful speckles all over it. I had tried on a jumper of the same style in Next prior to buying this but no matter how big I got the size it was still skin tight on me, which is something I don't like when buying jumpers, the more baggy the better. This one from Primark was perfect for me as it has that baggy style to it but I could still wear it out without it looking too scruffy.

The H&M top was something that caught my eye walking out of the shop and it has a weird feeling to the top. The front part seem to be a blouse material yet the back and the sleeves seem to be t-shirt material. I don't mind this at all and it doesn't affect the way it looks either. I think this will be perfect to wear with leggings and jeans and I can't wait to wear it out.

What have you all found in Primark & H&M recently?

Superdrugs buys.

I made another unnecessary trip to Superdrug the other day and picked up much more items than I originally had in mind! I'm one of the people these companies target by putting products by the tills as I'm constantly pick items up that I definitely don't need but feel like I do.

PRODUCTS I BOUGHT:
  • L'Oreal Paris FALSE LASH TELESCOPIC mascara £10.99
  • Nivea Fragrance Free, facial cleansing wipes £1.49
  • Garnier hand cream - NOURISHING £1.99
  • Superdrug's own brand Antibacterial hand gel £0.99
  • Johnson's Baby Oil £0.98
  • L'Oreal Paris lipstick - Shade 03 Lovely Rose £7.99
I had been wanting the 'Telescopic' mascara for a very long time and finally went and purchased it. I must admit it is quite expensive for a mascara but I've heard so many great things about this product I thought I just had to try it out. I hope that it lives up to the expectations I have! L'Oreal had a 'Buy One Get 1 Half Price' deal so I bought a lipstick which I really like the colour of. It doesn't come out too pink and has a shine effect when applied - I'm a fan already.

Have any of you been to Superdrug lately & picked up any items?

January Favourites

Oh my god, where did the month of January disappear to?! It went so fast, I couldn't believe it when I was saying 'it's the 1st of February tomorrow'. Seems like this year will be going as quickly as 2012!

Even though I thought the month went extra quick I did manage to find some products and items that I LOVE.
(swatched Kate Moss shade 16)
  • Over the knuckle gold rings from River Island
  • Rimmel London lipstick - Kate Moss collection - shade 16
  • Ted Baker bag with gold bow
  • Revlon nail varnish - 185 Lilac Pastelle
I absolutely love the Revlon lilac shade that I decided to paint my nails and I wore it for the majority of January! I think the glitter nail varnish on the ring finger also adds something to the whole look which I also decided to keep - I used Models Own 'Juicy Jules' for the glitter effect.

The Kate Moss lipstick collection was a late(ish) buy for me in the month of January but I grew to like to so much that I had to include it in my favourites post. The smell of the lipstick is UH-MAZ-ING as it smells just like watermelon. I find it hard to find a lipstick that goes well on my lips and also compliments my hair colour and I believe this one is a winner! They are around £5.49 in Boots & Superdrug and quite often there's a 3 for 2 offer.

Ted Baker is a brand for me which is ridiculously overpriced yet I can't stay away from the store!! I do, however, enjoy one of the perks of being a student and that's the 15% student discount that they offer in there, which is always a bonus. I always wanted one of these bags but never wanted the plain bow ones so I searched high & low for the glitter bow and only find ONE left in my local store and I knew I had to have it. I bought this bag a while ago back in 2012 but after purchasing it I didn't get a lot of use out of it. However, this has totally changed this year and I have been constantly using it. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I don't know if you can still get them as I did have to search for mine but they still do similar styles & I'm sure they're around the £35 mark.

I've been seeing many posts about the over the knuckle rings and I must admit I was rather intrigued. Just by looking at them I made an assumption that they would either fall off my fingers or they would be extremely uncomfortable. I was wrong. Completely wrong. I've been wearing the ones I bought from River Island occasionally and when I do people always ask me where I got them from. I'm so glad I did decide to buy some to try out as I know I will be wearing these loads. They are £2 in River Island for both. Bargain.

Other favourites:
  • FILM: Disney movies (new found love for these movies, feel like a kid again!)
  • SONG: 'What About Us' - The Saturdays

Hope you all enjoyed my favourites from the month of January, leave a comment telling me your favourites of the month too as I'd love to read them!
